Grant Information

The majority of financial support received by the RedHawks Flight Club directly benefits students of South Albany through grants made to the school’s extra-curricular activity programs.

Requesting a Grant

Program leaders may request a Special Grant by submitting a Grant Request Form and appearing in person at our monthly meeting held on the 3rd Wed. at 7:00pm.

Criteria for Awarding Grants

The amounts awarded for Grants will be determined based on the following criteria:

  • Number of students directly impacted. The amount of funds awarded will be partially based on how many students are involved in the program.

  • Level of impact anticipated. The amount of funds awarded will be partially based on how the funds will be used to benefit students within the program.

  • Urgency and necessity of the request. The amount of funds awarded will be partially based on how crucial the funds are to the functioning of the program.

  • Disbursing Granted Funds

All funds awarded through Flight Club Grants will remain in the Flight Club bank account until utilized. Most often, we deposit granted funds into the program’s school account as reimbursement for the specified purchase. We can also reimburse individual program leaders for the purchase, or pay vendors directly. In all cases, proper documentation such as a receipt or invoice must be received by the Flight Club at the time of (or prior to) disbursement.
